Community projects that make safety, confidence, and support more accessible
Not everyone has access to the kind of training that helps them feel safer and more confident. That is something we are working to change.
Our community projects are designed to reach women, girls, and families in a way that feels accessible, supportive, and real.
From self defence workshops for women to family wellbeing programmes, everything we do is built around helping people feel more confident in everyday life.

The projects we run in the community
Each of our projects is designed around a real need we see in the community. Some focus on safety and confidence. Others focus on wellbeing, connection, and support.
Here is an overview of the work we are currently delivering:

Warrior Project
Free self defence and personal safety workshops across Hampshire.
Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, the Warrior Project delivers free self defence workshops for women and girls across Hampshire.
Over two years, we will run 60 sessions designed to help participants feel more confident, aware, and in control of their personal safety.
Each participant receives:
-
A free in-person workshop
-
Access to our online personal safety hub
-
Ongoing learning through videos, webinars, and support resources
We offer both introductory and advanced workshops, covering real-life situations, boundary setting, and practical techniques that are simple to remember.
Whether someone is completely new or building on existing knowledge, the focus is the same: Help them feel safer in their everyday life.

Fit Families Together
Helping families get active, connect, and feel better together.
Funded by Sport England, Fit Families Together is a free programme based in Andover that brings families together through movement, wellbeing, and shared experiences.
We know how busy life can get, and how easy it is for healthy habits to slip. This project is here to make things simple again.
What’s included:
-
Weekly family exercise sessions
-
Free community events throughout the year
-
A welcoming and relaxed environment for all fitness levels
There is no pressure, no expectations, and no cost. Just a chance for families to move, connect, and build healthier habits together.

The Welsh Warrior Project
Free self defence and personal safety workshops across South Wales.
Bringing free self defence workshops to women and girls across South Wales.
This project builds on the success of the Warrior Project, expanding access to personal safety training in new communities. Sessions focus on simple, practical techniques and awareness skills that people can use in everyday life.

Behind the Lens, Beyond the Sport
Changing who tells the story of women in sport.
This project brings together creativity and sport to explore a different side of confidence and representation.
Through community workshops, women and girls are introduced to movement photography in a way that feels accessible and supportive. At the same time, female photographers are given opportunities to work with athletes and capture more honest, personal stories that are often missing from traditional sports media.
The aim is not just to create images, but to shift perspectives and open up new opportunities.
Why this work matters

Our community projects are designed to reach women, girls, and families in a way that feels accessible, supportive, and real.
From self defence workshops for women to family wellbeing programmes, everything we do is built around helping people feel more confident in everyday life.

These efforts may start small, but they build over time and create a wider impact.
