At Ignite Your Power CIC, we believe women and girls deserve to feel safer, stronger, and more confident in everyday life.
We’re a female-led, community-driven organisation with a simple but powerful purpose: to support women and girls through practical self-defence and personal safety education that reflects the real world they live in. Our work is designed to break down barriers to access, build confidence, and give women and girls the knowledge and skills to better protect themselves and move through the world with greater confidence.
Through workshops, projects, training, and educational resources, we create supportive spaces where women and girls can learn real-life skills, grow in confidence, and feel empowered.
We are also committed to tackling violence against women and girls by delivering training and education that is practical, accessible, and rooted in lived understanding.

Meet the woman behind the mission
Hi, I’m Charlotte — founder of Ignite Your Power CIC, mum to Paige, security consultant, and martial artist.
I created Ignite Your Power because I believe women and girls deserve self-defence and personal safety education that truly reflects the realities they face.
Through my work as a security consultant, I see the reality of violence against women and girls far too often. I also see how powerful it is when women are given the right knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to carry themselves differently and feel more in control.
As a martial artist, I know the incredible difference confidence can make. It is not just about learning techniques — it is about how women feel in themselves, how they move through the world, and how they begin to trust their own strength.
As a mum and a domestic violence survivor, this work is deeply personal to me. Ignite Your Power exists to create safe, supportive, empowering spaces where women and girls can build confidence, learn practical skills, and feel more in control of their personal safety.
